Patrick’s interests gravitate primarily around software engineering and UNIX; from both the developer and administrator perspectives.
A three year love affair with Perl before moving into the system administration world has left him with a strong skill set in that area; which often couples well with admin work. He is also handy with Apache and postgresql, and with basic web development.
Hobbies such as math, OpenGL, and computer science are floating around there somewhere as well.
